Today I bring you this post, whish may seem a bit ugly, since in the beauty world everyone seems to talk only about good products. But, I'm not here to demonize these ones, just to tell you why we haven't get along, with the hope that you won't waste your money for nothing.
I'm all about light weight foundations, that give that fresh and luminous face look. First mistake: I went for a shade too light for me. I usually pick the lightest almost without questioning it (in drugstore foundations), but I didn't know that Revlon had such a range of shades. Second mistake: it has GLITTER. It can give you the glow, but I won't have this. I would wear it at night, but I'm afraid to look like The Canterville Ghost.
I think they came out a long time ago as limited edition, and they have been accumulating dust ever since. As I told you, I'm all about 0% cakey and 100% luminous skin, and this powder promised sealing your makeup but leaving a dewy finish, due to the tiny water particules which exploded when applied to the skin. It's true that I felt that fresh factor but, again, GLITTER. I think the shine technology has progressed since then, and now they make more delicate shimmer, but the fact that I paid 30 for this annoys me a bit. I can't even use them as highlighter.
You already have a review all about it, check it out here.
They are not bad products by any means, the thing is I chose the wrong colours. Absolutely my fault, but I learnt a lesson: peachy tones are not the best for me.
I did a review about this primer too. Here you have the extended version.
A mí no me hace nada.
I bought it because my Lime Crime primer was kind of aged (let's leave it there) and even though I love it, I was not on the mood to buy another, because of the shipping and the also the problems they have had with online shopping. I didn't really wanted to spend loads of money on another one, so I got these without having done any research. WRONG. When I first applied it, seemed oily, but I thought it would seat. Nah. It does nothing to me. I have to say that my eyelid is on the oily side and I have a bit of a hoded eye too so, chronic tendency to acumulate all the work -like Smaug with treasures- I have put in my make up in my tiny crease.
Again, not a bad product, but I can't feel any wonders with it, which I expect for the price. Maybe the 8 Hour Cream it's different (or at least that's what the whole blogosphere says).
TBS Camomille Cleansing Oil: LO ODIO.
I HATE IT. It stings my eyes, leaves my skin feeling dry (I know, weird) and worst of all, it constantly overflows and mess everything up. So now I use it to clean my brushes, until I run out of it. But I'm really happy with the butter version.
I hope you found this post useful, or at least entertaining ;)
